What is EPA P3 Project?
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s P3 – People, Prosperity, and the Planet—Program is a unique college competition for designing solutions for a sustainable future.
The competition has two phases. For the first phase of the competition, teams are awarded a $15,000 grant to develop their idea. They bring the design in April to the National Sustainable Design Expo in Washington DC to compete for the P3 Award and a grant of $90,000 to take their design to real world application.
A team of SIUC students and faculty advisors could win the phase 1 study of the program in 2011 and now is competing for phase 2 of the study. The results of the phase 1 research along with any other useful information from the EPA P3 team at SIUC is given to you in this website.
